Gertrude stands 20 inches (51 cm) tall and is 15 inches (38 cm) sitting.

Gertrude is a beautiful traditional bear made from delicately coloured hand dyed mohair. Her mohair is coloured like the flowers in a spring garden, her colouring isn't brash or gaudy but beautiful and natural. Gertrude is an elegant, gentle teddy bear with a warm and loving personality and like all teddy bears she loves a hug and cuddle.

Gertrude is made from wonderful distressed German mohair which Barbara has hand-dyed in many beautiful subdued colours, primrose yellow, forget-me-not blue, chrysanthemum pink and lilac. Gertrude's hand dyed velvet paw pads match her mohair perfectly.

Gertrude has glass eyes which were painted to match her mohair, a beautiful nose carefully embroidered with individual threads to also match her colouring and a content and gracious expression.

Gertrude is stuffed with a mixture of polyester stuffing and plastic pellets, giving her a cuddly and relaxed demeanour, comfortable and easy to pose and hug. As with all our bears she is 5-way jointed.

Gertrude is a gently colourful, handsome and elegant teddy bear, gracious and very friendly, she's a pleasure to live with and admire.

As with all our bears, Gertrude is not a toy, she is an adult collectible and unsuitable for children under 14.
