Douglas Trumbletown a sturdy and phlegmatic, one of a kind, artist bear by Barbara-Ann Bears in wonderful tipped mohair
Douglas Trumbletown stands 12.5 inches/31 cm tall and is 9.5 inches/24 cm sitting.
Douglas is a very calm and relaxed teddy bear, he's not one to let anything bother him, he takes it all in his stride, he irons out all the highs and lows into a mid-range rather resigned contentment. He's not one for dazzling displays of affection, he won't be buying anyoen huge bouquets of flowers, he might manage "I've been saving these nuts for someone special, would you like one?", and when a bear shares his prized nuts with you, you know he must really like you.
Douglas Trumbletown is made from the most gorgeous and luxurious mohairs, mainly a slightly wavy, fairly dense, medium brown mohair with black tipping, while his face, the fronts of his ears and the underside of his tail are made from a very long, twirly mid brown mohair. Douglas has chocltae brown German wool felt paw pads that complement his mohair perfectly.
Douglas Trumbletown has beautiful hand painted slightly sparkling glass eyes (they were painted to match his mohair) with eyelids, a rather magnificent nose embroidered with individual threads to match his mohair and a wistful smile. He is stuffed with plastic pellets and polyester stuffing to make him a little heavier and more cuddly.
Douglas Trumbletown is a very solid and dependable bear, he has a long nose which is perfect for sniffing out any truffles or nuts and his big tummy shows that he is very successful at it. If he ever offers you a truffle you'll know that you will be the love of his life forever, as usually you just get nuts...
