Bossa Nova, a large and colourful, one of a kind, artist teddy bear in gorgeous hand dyed mohair by Barbara-Ann Bears
Bossa Nova stands 21 inches/53cm tall and is 16 inches/41cm sitting.
Bossa Nova is a splendid friendly bear of great character and charm. A bear of happy, summery colours and a love of wild overgrown gardens. He loves to hide in beds of flowers where he tries to persuade the bees to give him all their honey. Sadly the bees rarely help, he relies on 'his people' to make him honey sandwiches, he says that as he is a teddy bear he cannot be expected to make his own sandwiches and that although he is quite a large bear he is still far too small to reach the cupboards and worktops in any human kitchens.
Bossa Nova is made from a long, tousled mohair that Barbara has hand dyed in a gorgeous blend of colours, there are golds and greens, blues and lilacs, cheerful oranges and pretty rosy pinks. The mohair was dyed as a rainbow, his arms and legs show the rainbow while his tummy is like a glorious fiery sunset, ah, sunsets and rainbows, what's not to love? Bossa Nova's hand dyed velvet paw pads were dyed at the same time as his mohair his mohair, so his feet paw pads match his feet and his hand paw pads match his hands.
Bossa Nova has large, beautiful, hand painted, glass eyes with eyelids which together with his large carefully embroidered nose were all made to incorporate the colours of his mohair and as you can see Bossa Nova has a broad, beaming smile. Bossa Nova is stuffed with polyester stuffing and plastic pellets which make him a little heavier and more cuddly.
Bossa Nova is a handsome colourful chap who is sure to bring a smile to your face. He would be delighted if you were to become a champion honey sandwich maker. It's definitely worth the effort as he will reward you with bountiful hugs and very colourful cuddles.
