Selwyn is a very shaggy, lovable and beautifully coloured, one of a kind, artist teddy bear in gorgeous faux fur & fluffy mohair by Barbara-Ann Bears
Selwyn stands 16 inches/41 cm tall and is 12 inches/ 30 cm sitting.
Selwyn is a handsome and cuddly bear, he's not wildly colourful but he is quite wild in a flamboyantly Bohemian kind of a way, a wild and windswept chap. He loves rummaging through swathes of bric-à-brac looking for inexpensive objets d'art almost as much as he likes a comfy armchair, a cup of tea, a few cakes and scones..., oh, and if you could remember to sit him in front of Bargain Hunt every lunchtime he'd be your friend for life.
Selwyn is mostly made from a beautiful silky faux fur which has been made in two lengths of fur, the shorter parts are dark blue, bottle green and a peachy tan, with long plumes of cream some of which is tipped in a sunny golden yellow, it really is a striking fabric, it makes him look a little like an Afghan hound . Selwyn's face and the fronts of his ears are a very long and fluffy pale cream mohair and his tummy and the underside of his tail are made from a long cream faux fur with charcoal tipping . Selwyn's pale tan coloured wool felt paw pads tie all his colours together beautifully.
Selwyn has very large, beautiful, hand painted glass eyes with hand coloured eyelids, he has a carefully embroidered nose that incorporates all of his colours and a sweet, thoughtful smile. He is stuffed with plastic pellets and polyester stuffing making him a little more cuddly and loveable.
Selwyn is a wonderful, friendly bear, a bear who needs to hug and comfort. He likes to think of himself as a wild art connoisseur but he's much happier to sit at home in front of the TV with a cake, a cup of tea and a nearby human who might give him an occasional hug and cuddle.
