Bartholomew is a fabulous and charismatic, one of a kind, artist teddy bear in gorgeous hand-dyed mohair and faux fur by Barbara-Ann Bears

Bartholomew stands 21.5 inches (55 cm) tall and is 16 inches (40 cm) sitting.

Bartholomew is a very dignified and splendid fellow, he has quite an aristocratic bearing, a calm and thoughtful chap who will sit quietly at your side while everyone else is rushing about. He doesn't really believe in rushing about and if you picked him up you'd realise why, he's a bit on the heavy size, he puts the gravity into gravitas. He has beautiful, subtle colouring, like dark berries, blueberry, bilberry, raspberry and juniper... like a lovely rich creamy yogurt.

Bartholomew is mostly made from a medium length distressed mohair which Barbara has hand dyed in a multitude of gorgeous, subtle colours, there are splashes of grey, lilac, maroon, blue, pink and purple. His face is a very long and feathery greyish lilac mohair and his tummy, the fronts of his ears and the underside of his tail are made from a very long cream tipped crimson faux fur, it's the perfect colour to go with his mohair (it took an hour of mix and matching to find the right one). Bartholomew has coordinating paw pads made from greyish-purple Alcantara (Ultrasuede).

Bartholomew has large, beautiful, hand painted glass eyes which sparkle like jewels and have hand coloured eyelids. He has a carefully embroidered nose that incorporates all of his colours and a sweet, thoughtful smile. He is stuffed with plastic pellets and polyester stuffing making him a little more cuddly and loveable.

Bartholomew is a wonderful, big, teddy bear, he loves to love and be loved, he's not one to rush around, sitting quietly with you and leaning across for an occasional cuddle is more his style.
