Boris Stroganov stands 19 inches(48 cm) tall and is 15 inches(38 cm) sitting.
Boris Stroganov is a wild yet gentle bear, a bear of the wilderness who wants to come in, put his feet up and eat some cake. He's had enough of chasing caribou across the tundra, arguing with wolverine and posing for wildlife documentaries "A bit over to the left please Boris, we'd like to get the mountain in the background and if you could put the mug of coffee down and please try to look a little more menacing...perfect " . Now he just wants peace and quiet, well that and some cakes, mugs of coffee, a newspaper, a window with a view of a mountain...and the sea, and if you wouldn't mind singing him off to sleep at night that would be just dandy.
Boris Stroganov is made from long, wild and shaggy mohair that Barbara has hand-dyed in many beautiful hues of brown, there are bronzes, terracotta, creams and various shades of coffee, this is complemented by his long and very fluffy faux fur tummy, which is banded in shades of brown and cream, it's quite like an owl's colouring. Boris has brown German wool felt paw pads that compliment his mohair perfectly.
Boris has beautiful hand painted slightly sparkling glass eyes (they were painted to match his mohair) with hand-coloured eyelids, an impressive and wonderfully embroidered nose, sewn from individual threads to match his mohair and an engaging smile. He is stuffed with polyester stuffing and plastic pellets to make him a little heavier and more cuddly.
Boris Stroganov is a beautiful bear with a charming expression and demeanour, he might appear wild but he's a great bear to live with and we hope will always bring a smile to your face.
Boris Stroganov is the first of his design, we hope you love him as much as we do.
