Pru is a beautiful, happy and gently colourful, one of a kind, hand dyed mohair little artist teddy bear by Barbara-Ann Bears
Pru is a small bear, she stands just under 5 inches/13 cm tall and is 4 inches/10 cm sitting. These measurements don't include her fluffy hair, they're to the top of her head.
Pru is a delightful little bear, she's beautifully coloured, a mixture of soft pastel colours and deeper saturated tones. She's a warm, cheerful bear, a bear to sit beside you quietly and just make you smile whenever you glance across to her, she's a pleasure to live with. She's small enough to fit in a pocket or handbag, a little companion ready with a smile whenever you need one.
Pru is made from several different mohairs that Barbara has dyed a number of warm, saturated colours, she's mostly a quite short, fairly sparse and straightish mohair that Barbara has dyed pink, lilac and blue. Her tummy is a much longer, wildly curly mohair hand dyed a vivid pink, her face is a very long and wispy cream mohair with subtle lilac tipping, the fronts of her ears and the underside of her tail are a sparse, twirly mohair hand dyed blue and on top of her head she has a mop of very dense and soft sky blue faux fur...yes, a lot of different mohairs, it's much easier to look at the photos.
Pru has hand dyed velvet paw pads which complement her mohair beautifully. She has beautiful, hand painted eyes with eyelids, a splendid nose embroidered with individual threads to compliment her colouring and she has a sweet, friendly smile. Pru is stuffed with polyester stuffing and glass beads which give her a little extra weight and make her a little more cuddly.
When you're having a tough day out and about you might need a little bear of beautiful warm colours, a bear with a gorgeous smile and a twinkle in her eye, we think Pru could be that bear, she's a little sweetie.
