Dimpty Dimwit is a sweet and charming teddy bear, a veteran English mohair artist bear from Barbara-Ann Bears

Dimpty Dimwit stands 14 inches/36 cm tall and is 10.5 inches/26 cm sitting.

Dimpty Dimwit is a bear of the 1990s, a bear from our transition from the traditional into the wild and wonderful world of Barbara-Ann Bears, we made ten Dimpty Dimwits for the renowned teddy bear shop Teddy Bears of Witney's 1997 catalogue. He's a very sweet and calm teddy bear, in subdued colours, the sort of teddy bear to help you relax and let all your troubles drift away.

Dimpty Dimwit was made in 1997 from beautiful khaki coloured almost straight mohair, with a plump, beige mohair tummy and a proper belly button (made from a button). He has pale beige wool felt paw pads, that combine very well his mohair perfectly, vintage boot button eyes and a pert nose embroidered from charcoal wool with a pale fleck in it. Dimpty Dimwit is almost entirely stuffed with polyester stuffing, although his tummy is filled with plastic pellets which add a little extra weight and squidginess. 

Dimpty Dimwit is a sweetie, he's not one to cause any trouble although he does require a fairly frequent supply of cakes, scones, biscuits and marmalade sandwiches to keep his tummy adequately round, other wise his bellybutton would hang limply and we can't have that, can we?

Dimpty Dimwit has been very well looked after, there are no holes or blemishes, even on his paw pads, one side of his chest is very slightly paler than the rest of his mohair, sadly he didn't come back to us with his swing ticket so we don't know which number of the edition of ten he is. His sewn in label has our first logo and we'll give him a new swing ticket when he leaves us. Sadly Dimpty Dimwit outlived his owner and is now looking forward to finding a new home.

As with all our bears Dimpty Dimwit is not a toy, he is an adult collectable and unsuitable for children under 14.
