Ethel, a bright and friendly, one of a kind, artist teddy bear by Barbara-Ann Bears in beautifully coloured hand-dyed mohair
Ethel stands 7.5 inches( 19 cm) tall and is 6 inches ( 15 cm) sitting.
Ethel is a calm, friendly bear, a bear of pretty, scrumptious, delicate colours. She's colourful in a natural, happy way and this together with her calm and sweet personality make her a bear who is very easy to fall in love with.
Ethel is mostly made from a fairly long and twirly mohair that was hand dyed in a soft, sunny yellow with a warm pink backcloth, while her tummy, face, the fronts of her ears and the underside of her tail are a shorter, straighter mohair hand dyed a warm pink with a cream backcloth. Ethel loves her soft gentle colours, she doesn't think brown or grey are proper colours, "they're just too dull darling" is what she says. Ethel has matching pink mini-bear fabric paw pads which complement her mohair perfectly
Ethel has beautiful, hand painted eyes with eyelids, a splendid nose embroidered from individual threads to match her mohair and a sweet, rather doleful smile. Ethel is stuffed with polyester stuffing and plastic pellets which give her a little extra weight (best not to mention it) and make her a little more cuddly. As with all our bears Ethel is 5-way jointed.
Ethel is a warm gentle bear, a bear to hug and admire, she might appear a little dreamy but she's just thinking, thinking about the blue sky and the beautiful day and whether she'll come out to play, she'd love you to play with her but is just a little too shy to ask.
Ethel is one of our older designs and bears, she's been sitting watching the world go by, watching new bears come and go and has asked if she could explore the world and find a new home.
We will enclose photos with Ethel and we are happy to put in a greetings card and gift tags, maybe a birthday card or one for another occasion, you can choose one from our greetings card page and let us know which card you would like.
As with all our bears, Ethel is not a toy, she is an adult collectible and unsuitable for children under 14.
