Fingal is quite a large and comical, one of a kind, artist bear by Barbara-Ann Bears in wonderful batik German mohair
Fingal stands 20.5 inches/ 52cm tall and is 15 inches/38 cm sitting.
Fingal is a big funny bear, a bear of comfortable proportions with a big tummy and a long nose. He's a bear who can sniff out a source of honey, berries or cream cakes over several mountain ranges, there's nothing he loves more than making his way leisurely through a baker's shop or patisserie, "Well you never know when the world's supply of cakes might run out, so best to eat all you can while you can" he'll say, often with a mouth full of cake.
Fingal is made from a gorgeous batik mohair, it's a moderately long, fairly sparse mohair in bands and patches of coffee and beige, it's mohair we used to have 20 years ago that we bought from a very good teddy bear making friend who is sadly retiring, we'll miss seeing her and her husband at the shows very much. Fingal has greyish beige German wool felt paw pads that compliment his mohair perfectly.
Fingal has beautiful hand painted slightly sparkling glass eyes (they were painted to match his mohair) with hand coloured eyelids, an impressive and wonderfully embroidered nose, sewn from individual threads to match his mohair and an engaging smile. He is stuffed with polyester stuffing and plastic pellets to make him a little heavier and more cuddly, he is quite a heavy bear.
Fingal is a beautiful bear with a charming expression and demeanour, he's a great bear to live with and we hope will always bring a smile to your face, just remember to occasionally supply him with honey, cakes and marmalade. Fingal like all teddy bears loves a cuddle.
