Great Scott is a little, endearingly sweet one of a kind, artist bear by Barbara-Ann Bears in fluffy mohair and wonderful spotty faux fur
Great Scott stands just 6 inches/15 cm tall and is 5 inches/18 cm sitting, these measurements don't include his sprouts of hair which add another 4 inches/10cm, his hair is almost as tall as he is!
Great Scott is a joyful and sweet fellow, he likes to think of himself as an Antarctic explorer, he might even tell you stories about the adventures he had in Antarctica or on South Georgia, about the close shaves he's had with leopard seals and penguins, but it all comes from watching documentaries on TV, he's never even put a foot on snow. He's just a sweet teddy bear full of happy smiles and long tender cuddles, a lovely fluffy bear with beautiful hand painted eyes and an amazing smile. Great Scott is a bear who longs for love and hugs, he's a warm loving friend who will go anywhere with you, especially if you keep him warm.
Great Scott is made from the most gorgeous and luxurious fabrics, mainly a very dense cream and white faux fur with black spots, his tummy is a similar dense soft white faux fur with brown and beige rings and the underside of his tail is made from a very dense and soft pink faux fur with black spots (just to add a splash of colour and fun). His face is a long white mohair which gives him a long white beard which you might find hard to resist stroking or twirling through your fingers, on top of his head and the backs of his ears is a long white faux fur with ridiculously long sprouts of black which blow about wildly in the wind, we had to wait for a sunny calm day to take his photos and they're quite infrequent in south west Scotland in the autumn. Great Scott's paw pads are made from a very short cream coloured faux fur with dark brown spots that we also used for the fronts of his ears, and which complements his other fabrics perfectly.
Great Scott has beautiful hand painted slightly sparkling glass eyes with eyelids, a wonderful nose embroidered with individual threads to complement his colouring and a cheeky smile. He is stuffed with glass beads and polyester stuffing to make him a little heavier and more cuddly.
Great Scott is a very happy bear, a bear with the warmest and most loving of personalities. He may not be great of size but he is great of personality, a pocket sized bundle of fun you can take anywhere with you.
Great Scott is the first of his design, we don't think we'll be making any more bears from his pattern in such dense faux fur, it was a bit of a challenge! We think he looks great, we hope you like him too :)

As with all our bears Great Scott is not a toy, he is an adult collectable and unsuitable for children under 14.
