Happy Chappy is an exceedingly happy and friendly, limited edition, artist teddy bear made from vintage gold crushed velvet by Barbara-Bears
Happy Chappy is part of a Limited Edition of ten bears and this one is number two of ten.
Happy Chappy stands 10 inches( 25 cm) tall and he is 7.5 inches (18cm) sitting.
Happy Chappy is a wonderful, happy bear, he has a big happy smile and a big happy nose, even his golden colour is happy, he almost glows with happiness. While being happy he still has time to look a little quizzical, he just wants to make sure he knows what's going on around him, he's probably on the look out for more people to make happy.
Happy Chappy is made from a piece of vintage, golden crushed velvet, it was probably once destined to be a pair of (very lavish) curtains, but we think it's much better suited to making teddy bears, in contrast to his golden fur he has black German wool felt paw pads which tie in nicely with his big black nose.
Happy Chappy has beautiful hand painted, twinkling, glass eyes with hand coloured eyelids, a splendid carefully embroidered black nose and a very cheerful and hopeful expression. Happy Chappy is stuffed with plastic pellets, glass beads and polyester stuffing that give him a little extra weight and allow him to be posed in a variety of positions.
Happy Chappy is a bright and cheerful bear, he's like a ray of golden sunshine that will shine all year long.
