Howard is a charming and very friendly, one of a kind mohair artist bear by Barbara-Ann Bears

Howard stands 13.5 inches/34cm  tall and is 10inches/25cm sitting.

Howard is a teddy bear with a rather sorrowful expression. Teddy bears can get sad quite quickly if they aren't cuddled and shown enough love, of course this isn't true in Howard's case, quite the contrary, he thinks that by having a sad 'puppy dog' expression he'll get even more love and hugs, or even a cake or two. Howard loves a cake or two, he has that 'cake or two' physique, he says "What with food prices going the way they are you just can't be too careful, you need to plan ahead, build up your reserves". Howard is a very pragmatic and loving teddy bear.

Howard is nearly entirely made from a medium length, sparse silvery grey mohair with a slight greenish tinge to the backing, while the underside of his tail is made from a silvery grey, straight pile, German mohair which has a beige backing and a black thread running through it. Howard has grey wool felt paw pads that complement his mohair perfectly.

Howard has beautiful, subtly hand painted glass eyes with hand coloured eyelids and a splendid nose embroidered from charcoal coloured wool and as you can see he has an irresistible downcast expression . Howard is stuffed with plastic pellets and polyester stuffing to make him a little heavier and more cuddly.

Howard is a bear with the warmest and most loving of personalities. He is quite restrained and thoughtful, he could be thinking how lucky he is to have a warm, loving home, or wondering when the next cake or two will arrive. He's just a teddy bear, a sweet, gentle fellow ready to share lots of love and hugs with you.

Howard is the first of his design, we hope you like him.

As with all our bears Howard is not a toy, he is an adult collectable and unsuitable for children under 14.
