Molly is a comical, sweet and dinky, one of a kind, artist mouse in hand dyed mohair by Barbara-Ann Bears, she's definitely not a vole
Molly stands just 5 inches (12.5 cm) tall and is 4 inches (10 cm) sitting, her tail is 5.5 inches (13 cm) long.
Molly is a sweet little mouse, a gentle soul with a long tail, big ears and whiskers. One thing she is not is a vole, she definitely is not a vole, never has been a vole and never will be a vole, the very idea of being compared to a vole makes her whiskers twitch and her tail swish about angrily. Yes, we made a small mistake while taking her photos, just juxtaposed a couple of letters anyone could do it, but, as you can see, she wasn't happy, she was having none of it, kept pushing letter cubes around, muttering about incompetent insensitive humans and my was that tail swishing, she could have had someone's eye out with the thing. So, Molly is a sweet, gentle little MOUSE, just be careful not to upset her.
Molly is mostly made from a very short and stubbly mohair that Barbara has hand-dyed in delicate shades of lavender and pink while the backcloth is a mousey bluish-greenish-grey. The sides of her face are made from a very long beige mohair and the top is a long very pale pink mohair. Molly's tummy is a medium length slightly distressed mohair that Barbara has dyed in pistachio, olive, azure and rose pink . Her ginormous ears are pink ultrasuede on the front and grey felt on the back, her paw pads are similarly pink ultrasuede at the tip and grey felt at the bottom, and she has black embroidered claws. She has a long yellow felt tail which is wrapped with lilac and white baker's twine which makes it thinner and more flexible
Molly has beautiful hand painted eyes with eyelids, long cotton button thread whiskers, an intricately embroidered nose sewn from individual threads to match her colouring and the sweetest smile. Molly is stuffed with polyester stuffing and glass beads which give her a little extra weight and squidginess.
Molly is a pocket sized bundle of fun and happiness, a mouse of the subtlest colouring and sweetest personality. She's very easy to get along with and loves to be taken out to meet people, she's a sociable mouse and not just a house mouse . We hope you like her, just don't mention voles and you'll get along fine..
