Alexandre de Grandnez, a very handsome and cuddly, one of a kind, teddy bear by Barbara-Ann Bears in wonderful fluffy and dense batik mohair
Alexandre de Grandnez stands 14 inches(35.5 cm) tall and is 11 inches (29 cm) sitting.
Alexandre de Grandnez is a very calm and relaxed teddy bear, he is made from the most gorgeous mohairs that we were lucky to obtain from a retiring bear maker and that we don't think is available anymore. Alexandre is a charming bear, he loves his food and uses his splendid (please, never call it big) nose to find truffles, berries, cakes, curries and any other type of food, he says that he can smell food in the middle of the desert (although we have never tested this). Loving food comes with its costs and Alexandre is quite a stocky, solid bear, he's always ready for emergency hibernation, well you can't be too careful.
Alexandre de Grandnez is made from the most gorgeous and luxurious mohairs, mainly a long and fluffy, very dense, golden-brown batik mohair which has a few patches of darker brown, his face and the fronts of his ears are made from even longer, feathery, beige mohair and his tummy, the fronts of his ears and the underside of his tail are a long and shaggy autumn gold mohair. Alexandre has warm beige German wool felt paw pads that compliment his mohair perfectly.
Alexandre has beautiful hand painted slightly sparkling glass eyes (they were painted to match his mohair) with eyelids, a rather magnificent (not big) nose embroidered with individual threads to match his mohair and a broad and cheerful smile. He is stuffed with plastic pellets and polyester stuffing to make him a little heavier and more cuddly.
Alexandre de Grandnez is a bear with the warmest and most loving of personalities, he is quite restrained and thoughtful, he just wants to sit quietly at someone's side (and maybe be given a slice of cake every now and then). He's a sweet, gentle fellow ready to share lots of love and hugs with you.
