Alice is a very sweet and pretty one of a kind traditional mohair artist teddy bear by Barbara Ann Bears with hand knitted wool dungarees

Alice stands 13.5 inches/34 cm tall and is 9.5 inches 24 cm sitting.

Alice is a very sweet and pretty traditional teddy bear, she loves to listen to your stories, read books and eat cake,in fact cake probably comes first among her likes, she isn't particularly fussy either any cake will do, chocolate, walnut, fruit, coffee even beef cake.

Alice is one of our older bears, she has been sitting quietly in our home but now it's time for her to set out and find a new home. She's like a time capsule back to the 1990s, before our bears were quite so colourful and extravagant.

Alice is made from a wonderful soft pale blue mohair, it is fairly long and a little sparse with a paler backcloth which makes her face and expression easier to see, it's not a type of mohair that is made any more which makes her just that little bit extra special. Jasmine has pale blue wool felt paw pads and gorgeous translucent rose coloured glass eyes, she has a splendid, carefully embroidered nose and a relaxed and demure expression.

Alice is stuffed quite firmly with polyester polyester stuffing with some plastic pellets in her tummy that makes her just a little bit more cuddly and relaxed. As with all our bears she is 5-way jointed.

As you can see Alice comes with a hand knitted, stripy, pale blue and pink pair of dungarees, knitted by Andy's mum who is now 101 but was probably only in her mid 70's when she knitted these. She's still knitting strong now.

Alice is a very sweet and very friendly bear, a bear who needs lots of love and affection after spending twenty five years with us! We hope you like her, she's a special teddy bear.
