Clarence stands 15.5 inches (40 cm) tall and is 12 inches (30 cm) sitting.
Clarence is a distinguished, quietly happy and beautifully coloured bear, a bear of soothing, pastel colouring, peaches, pinks and oranges. He isn't garish or jarring, he's peacefully colourful like the afterglow of a sunset or the hour before sunrise, when the world is quiet and calm.
Clarence is made from a fairly long, shaggy, distressed mohair that Barbara has hand dyed in a gorgeous blend of colours, there are peaches, pinks, oranges, bright magenta, buttery yellow and a few splashes of lilac. Clarence's airbrushed, velvet paw pads compliment his mohair beautifully.
Clarence has large, beautiful, hand painted, glass eyes with eyelids which together with his carefully embroidered nose were all made to incorporate the colours of his mohair and as you can see Clarence has a broad, beaming smile. Clarence is stuffed with polyester stuffing and plastic pellets which make him a little heavier and more cuddly.
Clarence is a handsome chap, a quiet and dignified fellow to sit with you and emanate calm while brightening your day and hopefully making you smile, we think he's quite splendid.
