Clarence Sunbeam is a loveable and subtly coloured, one of a kind artist bear, in muted hand dyed mohair by Barbara-Ann Bears

Clarence Sunbeam stands 8 inches/20 cm tall and is 6 inches/15 cm sitting.

Not all of our bears have to be bright and dazzling and Clarence Sunbeam is one of our more subtly coloured bears, a bear with the colouring of a rusty plough in a field of heather on a cloudy day. Fortunately Clarence has a much sunnier personality than a rusty plough, he's a gentle soul with a sweet friendly smile and a fair amount of charm. He isn't a bear who particularly wants to stand out from the crowd, he's a bear who seems more interesting the more time you spend with him, he's rather good company.

Clarence Sunbeam is mostly made from a fairly short and sparse mohair hand dyed in a gorgeous blend of subtle colours, indigo, lilac, mauve, rose and ultramarine with splashes of rusty amber, like an old plough. His face is a very long, feathery pale beige mohair and the backs of his ears and the underside of his tail are a similarly coloured shorter, twirly mohair. Clarence's velvet paw pads were dyed with his mohair and thus match it perfectly.

Clarence Sunbeam has beautiful, hand painted, glass eyes which with his hand coloured eyelids and carefully embroidered nose were all made to incorporate the colours of his mohair and as you can see he has a beaming smile. Clarence is stuffed with polyester stuffing, glass beads and plastic pellets which make him a little heavier and more cuddly.

Clarence Sunbeam is a handsome chap, he's not dazzling or garish, just a beautifully coloured bear with a twinkle in his eye and a broad smile who is very easy to get along with.
