Cromarty is a wild, scraggly, scruffy bear, a one of a kind artist teddy bear in beautiful hand dyed mohair by Barbara-Ann Bears

Cromarty stands 8.5 inches(24 cm) tall and is 7 inches (18 cm) sitting.

Cromarty is a wild and shaggy chap, like a bearded collie he finds it very hard to keep the fur out of his eyes. But don't be fooled, he can see well enough, he likes to peer out behind his fringe, he would never miss a marmalade sandwich being brought into a room and even if he didn't see it his magnificent nose would sniff it out in milliseconds.

Cromarty is made from the most wonderful, long and shaggy mohair that Barbara has hand-dyed in wonderfully wild, natural shades of green, slate grey, blue and amber, the fronts of his ears are a similar mohair hand dyed a warm coral, they're a sort of signalling device, you might see them twitch when he gets a sniff of a sandwich. In the wild the Cromarties can see a twitch of an ear from many a mile away and they rush over the high moorland where they live like wolves to gorge on the crumbs. Cromarty has hand dyed velvet paw pads which were dyed with his mohair and thus match it perfectly.

Cromarty has slightly sparkling hand painted glass eyes with hand coloured eyelids. He has a splendid nose carefully embroidered from individual threads to match his colouring and a hopeful smile, which gives him that puppy dog 'please somebody love me' expression. He is stuffed with polyester stuffing, glass beads and plastic pellets to make him a little heavier and more cuddly.

Cromarty is the first of his kind, his design was inspired by the mohair, it needed a wild yet cheerful bear to be made from it, we hope you like him. He is very happy to sit at home, quietly watching TV with you, you might find him sniffing the air every now and then, but it's when you see his ears twitch that you have to worry...

As with all our bears Cromarty is not a toy, he is an adult collectable and unsuitable for children under 14.
