Filibert is quite a little bear, he stands just 7.5 inches( 19 cm) tall and is 6.5 inches ( 16 cm) sitting, these measurements don't include his long hair and fluffy ears which add another 2.5 inches (6cm).
Filibert is a mixture of beautiful happy colours, not too wild or garish, just the sort of colours you need to put a smile on your face during the long grey days of winter...and during the rest of the year too. As you can see Filibert is a very sweet and friendly teddy bear, he has a lovely warm smile and a twinkle in his eye, he just wants to see smiling back at him.
Filibert is made from several different mohairs, he's mainly a medium length, slightly distressed and fluffy mohair hand-dyed in many shades of pink with splashes of purple, blue and olive. His tummy and the underside of his tail are a longer mohair that Barbara has hand-dyed blue with touches of pink and turquoise, his face is a much longer, fluffy cream mohair and crowning it all, the top of his head and the backs of his ears are a soft peach faux fur with extremely long and fluffy tufts of pale blue and vermilion. Filibert has hand-dyed velvet paw pads which match the mohair on his tummy beautifully.
Filibert has twinkling, hand painted eyes with eyelids, a splendid nose embroidered from individual threads to compliment his colouring and he has a sweet, friendly smile. Filibert is stuffed with polyester stuffing and glass beads which give him a little extra weight and make him a little more cuddly.
Filibert is a happy and sweet teddy bear. He wants to see you smiling and laughing, he wants you to chortle along with him, to share your funny stories and misadventures, to laugh over spilt milk rather than cry about it.
