Horatio is an elegant and charming, one of a kind, traditional artist teddy bear by Barbara Ann Bears in wonderful cinnamon English mohair

Horatio stands 14 inches/36cm tall and is 10.5 inches/26 cm sitting.

Horatio is a very sweet and elegant, traditional teddy bear, he has a very gentle and loving expression and seems to yearn for hugs. He was designed to be proportioned like the very earliest teddy bears, with longer arms, a long snout and to be quite bear-like, not too cute but still very lovable. Horatio doesn't care too much about his classical proportions or even the beautiful colour and texture of his mohair, he's interested in teddy bear things, hugs, cuddles and lots of honey!

Horatio is made from a beautiful, cinnamon coloured English mohair which we recently bought from an old bear making friend, we were very lucky to get hold of it, it's getting rarer and rarer. English mohair had a wonderful, strong texture, it's sad that so little of it remains. Horatio has matching German wool-felt paw pads that coordinate very well with the mohair and he has boot buttons for eyes, just like the really old teddy bears. He has a carefully embroidered nose and a sweet smile. He is stuffed with polyester stuffing and plastic pellets, which gives him a more cuddly and soft feel.

Horatio is a sweet bear, a bear who is always ready for a hug or some honey, but never a hug and some honey, that would be asking for trouble. He's a bear who needs to be cherished and loved as he will always cherish and love you.

Horatio is the first of his design, in fact he was designed to make the best use of the lovely mohair, sometimes we see some fabric and it inspires us to make a new design, we hope you like him.
