Hughie is a sweet and cuddly, traditional one of a kind, artist teddy bear made in splendid German mohair by Barbara Ann Bears
Hughie is quite a big teddy bear, he stands 19.5 inches/ 50cm tall and is 15 inches /38cm sitting.
Hughie is a wonderful traditional teddy bear, he's quite like a bear cub in his proportions and character. We think Hughie has turned out very well, he's obviously a bear who likes his honey...and his cakes, his biscuits and scones, and... well, let's just say that he's a very 'solid' bear.
Hughie is made from a beautiful blond, straight pile, German mohair. He has beige woven cotton paw pads and large boot buttons for eyes. Barbara has given him a little extra old bear charm by clipping his mohair in places and colouring the edges of his paws to age him a little. Hughie has a splendid, carefully embroidered brown nose and a relaxed and demure expression.
Hughie is stuffed with a mixture of polyester stuffing and plastic pellets, giving him a cuddly and relaxed demeanour, comfortable and easy to pose and hug. As with all our bears he is 5-way jointed.
Hughie is a charming and very friendly bear, he's definitely a bear who loves his food and seems to be constantly prepared for hibernation, even in the middle of summer! Hughie is the first of his design, a wonderful, cuddly chap, we hope you like him.
