Izzy is one of our old bears, he's a sweet and chirpy, traditional teddy bear made from gorgeous English mohair by Barbara Ann Bears
Izzy stands 10.5 inches (26cm) tall and is 8 inches (20cm) sitting.
Izzy is one of our older bears, his design goes back to the mid 1990s we wanted to make quite a 'beary' little bear and Izzy is quite 'polar-bearish'. Izzy has been spruced up with beauttiful hand painted eyes and cute little nose. He is a sweet bear, a little polar bear who needs to come in from the cold and sit beside a blazing log fire or even a warm radiator for a while.
Izzy is made from a beautiful, distressed, cream coloured English mohair, we used to love using English mohair, it had such a strong texture, it was made using looms dating back to the early 1900s, since the birth of the teddy bear, sadly the mill that wove the mohair closed long ago. Izzy has cream, German wool felt paw pads to match his mohair. He has new hand painted eyes with eyelids, a new nose carefully embroidered with individual pale threads and a sweet yet slightly sad expression.
Izzy is mainly stuffed with polyester stuffing, he has some plastic pellets in his tummy which mean that despite his age he is still immensely cuddleable. Izzy, as with all our bears he is 5-way jointed.
We hope you like Izzy, he's one of our originals, a bear from the last millennium, from the days before personal computers, iPhones and Facebook, a simple bear from simpler times, we hope you like him. He has had one or two 'updates' which we hope make him even more appealing.

As with all our bears Izzy is not a toy, he is an adult collectible and unsuitable for children under 14.
