Jolly Jake is a wildly joyous and colourful one of a kind, hand dyed mohair artist bear by Barbara-Ann Bears
Jolly Jake stands 8.5 inches/21cm tall and is 6.5 inches/16 cm sitting.
Jolly Jake is a delightful teddy bear, he's exceedingly cheerful and wonderfully colourful. You could either view him as the embodiment of bright summer sunshine or a little bear who loves flowers so much that he has taken on the colours of all the flowers in the garden.
Jolly Jake is mainly made from one piece of quite short, dense straight mohair that Barbara has cut into small pieces and dyed in all the colours of the rainbow, you can't really see the rainbow but you can see all the colours of the rainbow on him, the photos show these off much better than any description. His tummy, the backs of his ears and the underside of his tail are a long, fairly straight mohair hand dyed in many colours, mainly soft turquoise and pink.
Jake's paw pads are made from hand dyed velvet and go with his mohair jolly well.
Jolly Jake has beautiful, hand painted eyes, a splendid nose embroidered from individual threads to complement his colouring and he has a huge beaming smile. Jake is stuffed with polyester stuffing and glass beads which give him a little extra weight and make him a little more cuddly.
Jolly Jake is like a little teddy flower, we know how flowers with their innocent joyfulness and prettiness always bring a smile to our faces, Jolly Jake was made with all these qualities in mind, we know his colours and happy smile will bring joy wherever he goes.
