Lewis stands 17 inches (43cm) tall and is 12 inches (30cm) sitting.
Lewis is an elegant, classical teddy bear, a gentlebear who loves to walk the mountains where he feels at home and his colours blend in so well. Happily he's very happy to sit on a sofa or even a shelf as long as he gets an occasional hug, a shortbread biscuit and a cup of tea.
Lewis is made from a beautiful strong tweed, it's a check pattern in straw yellow, bottle green, crimson and navy blue. Barbara has backed the tweed with felt to make it stiffer and more durable. Lewis's paw pads are a dull sand coloured wool felt that blends with his tweed very well. He has black glass eyes, a marvellous multicoloured nose, stitched from individual threads that were chosen to match his colouring and Lewis has a sweet, thoughtful expression
Lewis is stuffed with a mixture of polyester stuffing and plastic pellets, making him more cuddly, comfortable and easy to pose and hug.
Lewis is a charming and elegant bear with a calm assurance, he's a bear who is always ready for a hug, he might tell you that he needs to get out and walk across the open moorland, but in reality he's happier with a comfy seat and a cup of tea.
