Lord Stanley is a magnificent, calmly colourful one of a kind, artist teddy bear in fabulous faux fur & gorgeous mohair by Barbara-Ann Bears

Lord Stanley stands 22 inches (56 cm) tall and is 16.5 inches (42 cm) sitting, yes, he's a big teddy bear!

Lord Stanley is a fabulous teddy bear. He is very elegant and dignified yet very friendly and approachable, definitely a bear you can hug. Although he is a bear to love all year round he does have quite a Christmassy feel. His red, green, gold, black and white colouring seems to conjure up images of Christmas... Father Christmas in his red, riding on his sleigh through the snow covered forests in the dead of night with his golden bells jingling.

Lord Stanley is mostly made from a very exciting faux fur, it gives the impression of being in patches but is, in fact, a continuous piece (we have no idea how they make it, it's all magic to us), the different colours are also of differing lengths, the green, red and black are quite long, while the gold and white are a little shorter. The different colours are arranged in irregular patches, you could spend a long time analysing how they are arranged and wondering how it was made. His face and the fronts of his ears are made from a very long and fluffy white mohair and his tummy and the underside of his tail are a long, cream and white faux fur. Lord Stanley has coordinating hand dyed velvet paw pads.

Lord Stanley has large, beautiful, glass eyes (with eyelids) which were coloured to match his colouring. He has a carefully embroidered nose that incorporates all of his colours and a broad, cheerful smile. He is stuffed with plastic pellets and polyester stuffing making him a little more cuddly and loveable. He's a very happy, friendly and cuddly bear, quite heavy too.

Lord Stanley is a magnificent bear, a bear with a deep, soulful personality, a bear you can talk to and know that he is listening. He has a wonderful presence, he seems to say 'come over and hug me' and that might be something you find hard to resist. Luckily as he is a very friendly and informal 'Teddy Bear Lord' he will allow you to call him Stanley, but calling him 'Stan' might cause furrows in his brow and his version of a 'Paddington stare', hmmm...
