Macadamia is a marvellous, charming and elegant, one of a kind, artist bear by Barbara-Ann Bears in luxurious fluffy mohair
Macadamia is 13.5 inches(34 cm) tall from his toes to his head and is 9 inches (23 cm) sitting from his bottom to his head, he has flexible knees and bent legs so he can't stand up, he just sits rather elegantly.
Macadamia is a very handsome bear, with his dashing good looks and aristocratic and artistic bearing, he's a bear who could almost make you swoon and fall into his arms, although he's much too small to cope with swooners. He is a flamboyant and elegant bear, and unlike our other bears, with his bendy legs, allowing him to sit comfortably in a number of positions, he also has a separate, slightly wedge-shaped, jointed neck which means he can look slightly up or down (and straight ahead and sideways of course)... you can have hours of fun posing him. He is one of older bears, dating back to the mid-1990s, he was quite a change in direction and ambition for us. We don't make many bears like him nowadays, he is our most complicated pattern and takes a long time to make, but the results are always impressive.
Macadamia is made from two gorgeous and luxurious mohairs, mainly a fluffy, medium length warm tan mohair while his face, the backs of his ears, his chest, feet, hands and the underside of his tail are a very, very long and fluffy blond mohair. Macadamia's beige felt paw pads complement his perfectly.
Macadamia has beautiful amber glass eyes with eyelids, a wonderfully embroidered nose and a rather reflective expression. He is stuffed with plastic pellets and polyester stuffing to make him more flexible, a little heavier and more cuddly.
Although he isn't a big bear Macadamia is very impressive. He has a calm presence and a gracious character, you can have hours (OK, minutes) of fun turning and posing his head and arms and legs, so that he sits and looks just the way you want him too, whether it be intently attentive or rather offish and distracted, you could even turn his head away in mild annoyance during a boring conversation and say 'We aren't amused' but we don't recommend it, politeness and civility is the best option.
