Melchior is a magnificent, richly colourful one of a kind, artist teddy bear in fabulous faux fur & gorgeous mohair by Barbara-Ann Bears

Melchior stands 20 inches (51 cm) tall and is 16 inches (41 cm) sitting, yes, he's quite a big teddy bear!

Melchior is a fabulous teddy bear, made from the softest faux fur in the most beautiful rich red, he has an adorable, slightly dumbfounded expression, he might not be the smartest bear in the forest but he's probably the sweetest. He's a bear who just wants to be picked up and hugged, he says "that's what teddy bears are for" and who could argue with him?

Melchior is mostly made from a very exciting faux fur, it looks at first glance to be a uniform red but look more closely and you'll see that it is a rich purple tipped with a glorious hot red, this means that when the fur is disturbed you'll see the purple peeking through, it gives more life, more light and shade. His tummy, the underside of his tail and the fronts of his ears are made from a very long and fluffy white tipped purple faux fur, it links in with the hidden purple of his main colour, the top of his face is a long fluffy scarlet mohair and the lower part of his face is a long shaggy black mohair. Melchior has coordinating hand dyed velvet paw pads.

Melchior has large, beautiful, glass eyes with eyelids which were coloured to match his colouring. He has a carefully embroidered nose that incorporates all of his colours and a broad, cheerful smile. He is stuffed with plastic pellets and polyester stuffing making him a little more cuddly and loveable. He's a very happy, friendly and cuddly bear, quite heavy too.

Melchior is a magnificent bear, a bear with a deep, soulful personality, a bear you can talk to and know that he is listening. He has a wonderful presence, he seems to say 'come over and hug me' and that might be something you find hard to resist.
