This is a greeting card about reassurance, about pushing on and over coming self doubt, as explained by a colourful penguin to a rather exotic flamingo.
The penguin says "Yes, at times I do suffer from spells of self doubt, the thing is to keep on going, to work through it, believe you can swim under the iceberg and catch the squid, although obviously not if you’re a flamingo"
This is a folded greeting card measuring 5x7 inches (13 x 18 cm) drawn by Andy Cunningham (me) with ink pens and fine coloured pencils, then printed at home, near the sea in Scotland. I print it on white heavyweight card.
The inside is left blank for your own message.
It comes in a sealed cellophane envelope to protect it from the elements and a stiff card envelope.
This card was drawn on 2nd January 2019, the first drawing and card of 2019, it was cold and it was dark, it was a typical winter evening. I used to draw a lot of birds, at first drawings of real birds, robins and nuthatches for Christmas cards, then some variations on birds, long legged and long necked birds similar to storks and flamingoes and new varieties of penguins. There is so much colour in the animal kingdom it gives me licence to create some extra colourful characters.
You can use the discount code 6FOR4 at checkout to buy six cards for the price of four, it gives you a 34% discount on any quantity greater than six cards, no, it doesn't work on teddy bears, mohair, patterns etc., just on cards.
