Ormanroyd is a gruff and groovy veteran artist bear from Barbara-Ann Bears in wonderfully dense and fluffy tipped mohair
Ormanroyd stands 11.5 inches (29cm) tall and is 8.5 inches (21cm) sitting.
Ormanroyd is a bear of the 1990s, a bear from our transition from the traditional into the wild and wonderful world of Barbara-Ann Bears. He's a very relaxed and cool guy, he doesn't get up in the morning fretting or panicking, he just takes every day as it comes, at his own pace.
Ormanroyd was made from beautiful beige-tipped brown German mohair. The mohair was used by Steiff for many years to make their famous Zotty teddy bears, it's a mohair with a long and rich heritage, it's very dense and gently distressed which gives Ormanroyd his rugged, slightly dishevelled charm. He has brown, German wool felt paw pads, green translucent glass eyes and an impressive nose meticulously embroidered from two types of wool. Ormanroyd is almost entirely stuffed with polyester stuffing, although his tummy is filled with plastic pellets which add a little extra cuddleability.
Ormanroyd is a great bear, he's a little reserved you could even say gruff, he loves a cuddle but might say something like "cuddle me if you must but don't make a habit if it" but when you can't see him mid-snuggle he'll be smiling broadly. It's a curious thing that Ormanroyd only smiles when you're not looking at him, in fact he smiles nearly all the time when you're not looking at him.
We'll pop in some photos with Ormanroyd and we are happy to put in a greetings card and gift tags, maybe a birthday card or one for another occasion, you can choose one from our greetings card page and let us know which card you would like.
As with all our bears Ormanroyd is not a toy, he is an adult collectible and unsuitable for children under 14.
