Penelope Cantaloupe stands 14 inches( 36 cm) tall and is 9.5 inches (24 cm) sitting.
Penelope Cantaloupe is a sweet and artistic bear, very smart in her designer print fabric which is a mixture of natural motifs, mainly stylised flowers and leaves together with some more artistic flourishes. She's quite flamboyant in her pink, yellow and cream colouring and wildly fluffy tummy and ears. Her huge beaming grin will never leave her face, she's a bear of constant happiness and fun, she wants to make you happy and maybe receive a loving hug once in a while.
Penelope Cantaloupe is made from several different pieces of fabric, she's mostly made from a printed cotton fabric that features stylised flowers and leaves and many twirls and whirls, in happy pink, yellow, orange and deep red against a cream background. The sides of her face are a long fluffy white mohair and the top of face is a long and fluffy very pale pink mohair. Her tummy, the fronts of her ears and the underside of her tail are all made from a long wavy mohair that Barbara has dyed in soft pinks and peach and completing the picture the backs of her ears and top of her tail are a very long pink faux fur which has subtle black tipping. Penelope has hand dyed velvet paw pads which complement her colouring beautifully.
Penelope Cantaloupe has beautiful, hand painted glass eyes (painted to match her colours) with hand coloured eyelids, an impressive nose embroidered from individual threads to match her colouring and a beaming smile, she is stuffed with plastic pellets and polyester stuffing to make her a little heavier and more cuddly.
Penelope Cantaloupe is a wild and colourful arty teddy bear with a very sweet personality. She is a beautifully coloured bear and her gentle personality means that she is an easy and interesting bear to live with, she will never cause any trouble, she just wants to make people happy.
