Spotty Dog is a friendly, spotty, very well behaved, artist teddy dog made of spotty faux fur and black vintage mohair by Barbara Ann Bears

Spotty Dog stands 9 inches( 23 cm) tall, she is 12 inches (31 cm) from nose to the base of her tail and she is 11 inches (28 cm) across the ears.

Spotty Dog, as you can see, is a dog, a Lesser Spotted Dalmatian, she can be easily distinguished from the Greater Spotted Dalmatian by the lack of spots on various parts of her body, she says that this makes her more special than the Greater Spotted Dalmatian who she says 'is just too spotty for its own good'. Her incomplete spottiness makes her safer from evil dognappers who infamously prey on Dalmatians...it's one less thing to worry about.

Although you'll never see her running around, wagging her tail or licking your face you can imagine that she would be a very affectionate dog. Unfortunately, she can't do any of that, but she can stand attentively at your side or on a shelf or table, she could give your teddy bears a ride on her back too, she doesn't mind, she likes the company and to feel useful. Spotty Dog is mostly made from a spotty black on white faux fur which is the perfect fabric for making spotty dogs, the top of her head and her tummy and inside of her legs are made from the same type of faux fur but minus the spots, it's just white, the tops of her ears and her tail are a vintage (1920s-1930s) short, dense black mohair. Her paw pads are made from black German wool felt.

Spotty Dog has two different glass eyes, one is clear glass and the other a translucent pink, she has a splendid nose and a rather hopeful expression, as if she's waiting for you to throw her a ball or take her for walkies. Spotty Dog is stuffed with polyester stuffing with just a few glass beads in her feet to give her more balance. Spotty Dog has a jointed head so that it can turn but her legs are not jointed. Spotty Dog has (craft shop) pipe cleaners in her ears and tail which means they can be bent into position a little and also it holds them away from her body.

We hope you like Spotty Dog, she is a beautiful, friendly dog with a lovely personality, she'll never need feeding or walking and she'll definitely never make a mess, she'll just look sweetly at you all day long.
