Tobias is a loveable and elegant traditional teddy bear made in a beautiful deep red genuine vintage German mohair by Barbara Ann Bears

Tobias is 16.5 inches (38cm) tall and is 12 inches (30cm) sitting.

Tobias is a charming chap, he has the appearance of an old bear who has been through the wars, his mohair has worn bare in places and sadly he has lost one eye which has been lovingly repaired by a loved one with an old button, he is, of course, a very new bear and he has not suffered any damage, although his mohair is very old (probably dating back to the 1920s). He is a great companion, he's the sort of bear who has stories to tell if you can listen carefully enough to be able to hear them.

Tobias is made from a piece of deep, rusty red, vintage German mohair, it may once have been used for a cushion or seat cover, there are one or two small embroidered features on his leg, back and shoulders which give a hint of the mohair's previous life. He has beige German wool felt paw pads and one glass eye and one old button for eyes. Tobias has a marvellous nose, stitched from a flecked, charcoal wool. If you sit Tobias up he can look quite alert and attentive, but if he is allowed to slump he can look slightly sad, with a downcast expression, he's a bear who needs some good loving.

Tobias is stuffed with a mixture of polyester stuffing and plastic pellets, making him more cuddly, comfortable and easy to pose and hug.

Tobias is a charming and elegant bear with a calm assurance, a bear to be hugged and admired, a bear to be loved, we hope you love him as much as we do.
