Tom Duchart is a wild, raggedy and lovable, one of a kind artist bear by Barbara-Ann Bears in hand-dyed mohair

Tom Duchart stands 11 inches/28 cm tall and is 8.5 inches/22cm sitting.

Tom Duchart is a very friendly bear, he has a somewhat nonplussed expression, as if he was plucked from his natural habitat on the wild, high moors and plonked in a bear maker's cottage near the sea. He seems to be asking, 'How did I get here? Where is this comfortable house? What am I doing here?' But with some love, hugs and bilberry sandwiches he'll soon settle in wherever he goes.

Tom is mostly made from a fairly long, quite sparse, distressed mohair that Barbara has dyed in gentle shades of beige, rose, ochre and brown, his tummy is a much longer wildly tousled mohair hand dyed in shades of warm beige and his face, the fronts of his ears and the underside of his tail are a long, fluffy cream mohair. Tom Duchart has hand-dyed velvet paw pads which complement the colours of his mohair beautifully.

Tom Duchart has beautiful hand painted eyes with eyelids, a splendid nose embroidered from individual threads to match his colouring and he has a huge, friendly smile. Tom is stuffed with polyester stuffing and plastic pellets which give him a little extra weight and make him a little more cuddly.

Tom Duchart is a friendly sweet bear, he may look a little bemused but once he feels at home you'll find that he has a very positive and loving attitude, he's the sort of bear who wants to pick you up when you are down, who wants to see you smiling.
