William is an elegant and charming, classical, one of a kind, traditional artist teddy bear by Barbara Ann Bears in gorgeous German mohair
William stands 14 inches/36cm tall and is 10 inches/26 cm sitting.
William is an elegant, classical teddy bear, harking back to the early days of the last century. Of course he doesn't know he's a classical teddy bear, he thinks he's a sweet teddy ready to give lots of hugs and cuddles. He isn't even aware of how handsome he is, he would be surprised to hear anyone remark that he's a 'beautiful boy' or a 'very 'handsome chap' , although he is a rather elegant and handsome chap isn't he?
William is made from a beautiful, slightly sparse, wavy, fairly long and feathery German mohair, it's a gorgeous warm gold with a hint of ginger, you would probably call it a strawberry blonde. Will (you can call him Will, or Bill even Billy, but never Willy) has beige, German wool-felt paw pads that coordinate very well with his mohair. He has boot buttons for eyes, a carefully embroidered nose, a sweet smile and embroidered claws on his hands and feet (always the best place for claws we find). He is stuffed with polyester stuffing and plastic pellets, which gives him a more cuddly and soft feel.
William is a sweet and charming bear, he might be very elegant and handsome but he's a proper teddy at heart. He's a bear who needs to be cherished and loved as he will always cherish and love you.
William is the first of his design, in fact he was designed to make the best use of the lovely mohair, sometimes we see some fabric and it inspires us to make a new design, we hope you like him.
