Brabinger is a large, magnificent, charming and cuddly, one of a kind, artist bear by Barbara-Ann Bears in luxurious mohair and faux fur
Brabinger is an impressive and large teddy bear, he stands 21 inches (53 cm) tall and is 15.5 inches (39 cm) sitting.Brabinger is a very handsome bear, with a relaxed and friendly demeanour. He is the sort of bear who likes to sit comfortably, he doesn't like too much rushing about, he's happiest sitting somewhere he can be the centre of attention, somewhere he can sit quietly calming everything down and dispensing his own brand of wisdom " A happy bear is a bear with cake in his tummy" " Don't stand between a bear and his marmalade sandwiches" "Wild bears are only wild because they are hungry". You might notice a theme to his wisdom, you might also notice that Brabinger is quite a cuddly chap and some might draw a relationship between his wisdom and his physique.
Brabinger is made from the most gorgeous and luxurious faux fur and mohair, mainly a dense black faux fur which has patches of white tipped grey and also areas (especially on one paw and his feet) which are a very much longer, twirly, shaggy cream (faux Mongolian), these give it a lot of interest and life. The lower part of his face, the front of one ear and the underside of his tail are a very long, twirly beige mohair with a warm beige backcloth and the top of his face and the other ear are a very, long and fluffy cream mohair. Brabinger has cream German wool felt paw pads that compliment his colouring perfectly.
Brabinger has large, beautiful hand painted glass eyes with eyelids, a wonderfully embroidered nose, sewn from individual threads to match his colouring and a warm, beaming smile. He is stuffed with plastic pellets and polyester stuffing to make him more poseable, a little heavier (he is one heavy bear) and more cuddly.
Brabinger is a large and very impressive bear, he has a calm presence and a gracious character, he is the sort of bear you can talk to on any subject, although talking to him about cakes, honey, sandwiches and other teats is more likely to gain a response and his undying gratitude.
Should you be wondering where the name Brabinger comes from, it is the name of the butler in the BBC sitcom 'To the Manor Born', an affectionate and loyal character with high standards, which he expects to be maintained by everyone, which is where any similarity to our Brabinger ends.
We will enclose photos with Brabinger and we are happy to put in a greetings card and gift tags, maybe a birthday card or one for another occasion, you can choose one from our greetings card page and let us know which card you would like.
As with all our bears Brabinger is not a toy, he is an adult collectible and unsuitable for children under 14.
