Droopy Nose is one of our oldest bears, he's a sweet and cuddly, traditional teddy bear made from gorgeous English mohair by Barbara Ann Bears

Droopy Nose is about 15 inches (38 cm) tall and is 11.5 inches (29cm) sitting.

Droopy Nose is a vintage Barbara Ann Bear, he would have been made in the early 1990s, probably in 1990 or 1991, one of the first bears we made. He was the first variation on our original bear design (Guy) in having a longer and droopier nose, his snout is slightly below horizontal, making it easier for him to see over it, a great advantage when looking for honey or a hug

Droopy Nose is made from a beautiful, dense, straight antique gold English mohair, proper old fashioned teddy bear mohair, we used to love using English mohair, it had such a strong texture, it was made using looms dating back to the early 1900s, since the birth of the teddy bear, sadly the mill that wove the mohair closed long ago and 'they don't make it like that anymore . Droopy Nose has beige felt paw pads which blend in with his mohair very well. He has black eyes which catch the light so he often has a cheeky twinkle in his eye. Droopy Nose has a neat nose sewn in tan coloured thread so that it stands out from the mohair and he has a sweet smile.

Droopy Nose is quite firmly stuffed with polyester stuffing and like all our bears he is 5-way jointed.
