Elwyn Griffiths is a very elegant brown bear, a bear who likes to bury his head in poetry and particularly Welsh poetry, he might call you in and read softly to you

Elwyn Griffiths is a 'centre seam' bear like some of the earliest teddy bears, to save a little mohair the last bear on a roll of mohair would only have its centre seam drawn and cut out in two halves, which made them quite rare and nowadays even more valuable, Elwyn is a tribute to those rare early teddies. He is made from a fairly long, slightly wavy greyish-brown brown mohair with a hint of green. Elwyn has co-ordinating beige German wool felt paw pads and vintage boot buttons for eyes, like the bears at the beginning of the last century. Elwyn has a beautifully embroidered nose and a very sweet and loving expression.

Elwyn Griffiths is stuffed with a mixture of polyester stuffing and plastic pellets, his body is quite firmly stuffed, firm enough to appear alert but still very huggable and comfortable, easy to pose and hug.
