Frederick is a very sweet and cuddly, traditional teddy bear made from gorgeous silvery-grey German mohair by Barbara Ann Bears
Frederick is 15.5 inches (39cm) tall and is 11.5 inches (29cm) sitting.
Frederick is a splendid traditional bear, he's one of our older designs, we first made a 'Frederick bear' around 1993 and he's always been one of our favourites. He has a very calm and loveable character, he's a friendly chap looking for a loving home with a good supply of cakes and honey, you might notice from the photos that he has a 'comfortable' physique, a bear who likes to sit and ponder and avoid any unnecessary exertions.
Frederick is made from a beautiful silvery-grey German mohair with a straight, fairly short pile and a soft brown backing, the mohair reflects the light around him beautifully. Frederick has grey, German wool felt paw pads and vintage boot buttons for eyes. He has a marvellous nose and a relaxed, hopeful yet slightly sad expression, as if he's been waiting for a hug for a very long time.
Frederick is stuffed with a mixture of polyester stuffing and plastic pellets, giving him a cuddly and relaxed demeanour, comfortable and easy to pose and hug. As with all our bears he is 5-way jointed.
Frederick is a charming and elegant bear with a calm assurance, a bear to be hugged and admired, a bear to be loved, we hope you love him as much as we do.
