Hywel is an endearingly sweet one of a kind, artist bear by Barbara-Ann Bears in wonderfully fluffy mohair and faux fur

Hywel stands 9.5 inches (24 cm) tall and is 7 inches (18 cm) sitting.

Hywel is a joyful and sweet fellow, he likes to think of himself as an Arctic explorer, he might even tell you stories about the adventures he had on Baffin Island or Spitzbergen, about the close shaves he's had with polar bears and ptarmigan, but it all comes from watching documentaries on TV, he's never even put a foot on snow. He's just a sweet teddy bear full of happy smiles and long tender cuddles, a lovely fluffy bear with beautiful hand painted eyes and an amazing smile. Hywel is a bear who longs for love and hugs, he's a warm loving friend who will go anywhere with you, especially if you keep him warm.

Hywel is made from the most gorgeous and luxurious fabrics, mainly a long, soft, brown-tipped cream faux fur, his face and the backs of his ears are a very long and fluffy pale cream mohair which gives him a very long and fluffy beard which you might find hard to resist stroking or twirling through your fingers. His tummy, the fronts of his ears and the underside of his tail are made from a very dense and soft, brown spotted cream, animal print faux fur. Hywel has cream coloured wool-felt paw pads that compliment his mohair perfectly.

Hywel has beautiful hand painted slightly sparkling glass eyes (they were painted to complement his mohair) with eyelids, a wonderful nose embroidered with individual threads to match his mohair and a broad and cheerful smile. He is stuffed with glass beads and polyester stuffing to make him a little heavier and more cuddly.

Hywel is a very happy bear, a bear with the warmest and most loving of personalities. We hope you love him as much as we do and you have some wonderful adventures together. If you don't recognise the name 'Hywel' it means 'eminent' in Welsh, it was the name of a 10th-century king of Wales but goes back even further, it's an ancient name.
