Lenny Lemonears a lovable, colourful, little one of a kind, hand dyed mohair artist bear by Barbara-Ann Bears
Lenny Lemonears is one of our smallest bears, he stands just 6.5 inches/16 cm tall and is 5 inches/12 cm sitting.
Lenny Lemonears is a delightful little bear, as you might guess from his name he has lemony yellow ears, you might not have guessed that lemon coloured ears give you the ability to listen to lemons. You might think that lemon trees don't want their fruit to be eaten but that would be a mistake, lemons need their fruit to be eaten and Lenny can hear them calling. When the lemons are not quite ripe they'll say "No, not yet little bear, come back in a few days" and when he does return "Yes, now! Eat as many as you can!" and Lenny does, he eats just as many as he can, which isn't a good idea, he really doesn't like lemons and lemons don't really like him, that's one of the reasons he's such a little bear.
Lenny Lemonears is nearly entirely made from a wildly tousled mohair which Andy dyed in soft pinks, gold and magenta (sometimes Barbara's back is too painful for her to work for long), while the fronts of his ears and the underside of his tail are a long, fluffy mohair hand-dyed a lemony yellow. Lenny has matching hand dyed velvet paw pads.
Lenny Lemonears has beautiful, hand painted eyes with hand coloured eyelids, a splendid little nose embroidered from individual threads to compliment his colouring and he has a sweet, friendly smile. Lenny is stuffed with polyester stuffing and glass beads which give him a little extra weight and make him a little more cuddly.
Lenny Lemonears could be your perfect bear, he's very happy and is small enough to fit in your pocket and travel around with you. However please don't bring him close to lemons, he can hear their call and the results can be most unpleasant.
