Lord Dougal of Drumdiddle, an impressive and wonderful, one of a kind, artist teddy bear in gorgeous faux fur & mohair by Barbara-Ann Bears.
Lord Dougal of Drumdiddle is a large and heavy teddy bear, he stands 23 inches (58 cm) tall and is 17 inches (43 cm) sitting.
Lord Dougal of Drumdiddle is a big, heavy bear with a very dignified and relaxed manner. Although he is a Lord he is also gentlebear, a polite and thoughtful chap who is always ready for a little (or a lot of) hugging. The Drumdiddles are not very high in the bear aristocracy, they live in a dark and rather damp castle where you will find a multitude of buckets and bowls arrayed on the floor ready to catch the drips from the leaking roof. They have sold the family silver and their remaining painting is of such a low calibre that they are unable to sell it, or even give it away. In a nutshell Lord Dougal wants out, he wants a roof that keeps the rain out, a warm living room without too many bats flying about and certainly no rooks competing with him for his dinner. If you can provide a warm, dry, rook and bat free home Lord Dougal would be delighted to live with you
Lord Dougal is mostly made from a very long, shaggy and dense faux fur which is in bands of turquoise, a deep slate grey, a milky brown and a sort of pinky beige. Lord Dougal's face, the fronts of his ears and the underside of his tail are made from a very long and soft, cream coloured mohair which has a very pale pink backcloth which goes particularly well with the dusky pinky beige in his faux fur. Lord Dougal has coordinating paw pads made from grey German wool felt.
Lord Dougal has large, beautiful, hand painted glass eyes with hand coloured eyelids, he has a carefully embroidered nose that incorporates all of his colours and a sweet, thoughtful smile. He is stuffed with plastic pellets and polyester stuffing making him a little more cuddly and loveable.
Lord Dougal of Drumdiddle is a wonderful, big, friendly bear whose long arms are made for cuddling, a bear who needs to hug and comfort. He's equally happy to sit though, just to be there at your side while you get on with life, really he'll be happy just to live somewhere warm and dry and a hug once in a while is a huge bonus.
We will enclose photos with Lord Dougal of Drumdiddle and we are happy to put in a greetings card and gift tags, maybe a birthday card or one for another occasion, you can choose one from our greetings card page and let us know which card you would like.
As with all our bears Lord Dougal of Drumdiddle is not a toy, he is an adult collectable and unsuitable for children under 14.
