Solly, a bright, cheerful and comical, one of a kind, artist teddy bear by Barbara-Ann Bears in beautifully coloured hand-dyed mohair

Solly stands 7.5 inches( 19 cm) tall and is 5.5 inches ( 14 cm) sitting.

Solly is a wonderfully cheerful bear, a bear of warm, scrumptious, summer colours, a bear of bright sunshine and deep blues. He is like the sun shining down from a blue sky, with his beautiful big eyes, impressive nose (he says it's very rude to say he has a big nose, he prefers 'impressive') and beaming smile he's a bear who always wants to make you happy.

Solly is mainly made from a fairly long, straightish pile mohair that Barbara has dyed a rich blue with hints of purple and splashes of magenta. His face is a slightly longer, twirly mohair hand-dyed a sunny yellow with orange hand tipping, his tummy and the underside of his tail are the same as his main mohair but hand-dyed in sunny shades of orange and peach and finally the fronts of his ears are a longer, fluffy mohair dyed a bright, lemony yellow. He is a very happy and bright summery bear.

Solly has hand dyed velvet paw pads which complement his mohair perfectly, beautiful, big, hand painted eyes with hand coloured eyelids, a splendid nose embroidered from individual threads to match his mohair and a huge, beaming smile. Solly is stuffed with polyester stuffing and glass beads which give him a little extra weight (best not to mention it) and make him a little more cuddly. As with all our bears, Solly is 5-way jointed.

Solly is a warm happy bear, a bear to hug and admire, you could sit outside with him on a broad empty beach, gazing up at the warm sun, the blue sky and soft fluffy clouds and you will see where his beautiful colours come from, we chose his name as it is so close to 'Soleil' (French for sun) it conjures up the warmth of sunshine.

As with all our bears, Solly is not a toy, he is an adult collectible and unsuitable for children under 14.
